Wow wow wow Nepal! We are almost five weeks into our time here so here’s a quick update on what life has looked like for me!

My team and I have been staying in Katmandú where we get to partner with locals that love the Lord. They have brought us into their various ministry’s such as women’s ministry, slums, and church partnership!

Our team five days a week is divided in the morning between the women’s and slums ministry. At the Women’s center, we get to lead workouts, bible studies, and teach english classes. Then for the slums, we get to be with kids (ages 2-14) who live there. Some of the kids are from India who’s families moved here seeking better opportunities, while others have always been here. Sometimes we’ll help them in their studies, such as math and English, and other times we’ll teach them stories from the Bible and play games. I have seen such a childlike joy by just being with the kids so often!

On Saturday’s we’ve been going to various churchs, getting to meet new faces, share a message, share testimonies, and worship! We even got to write a book on a testimony of one of the pastors we met!! It’s been so fulfilling seeing what the Lord is doing in kathmandu specifically. There is such a need and hunger for truth. Both physical needs but more importantly spiritual needs are so evident here.

The main religion is Hinduism, leading to Idols practically suffocating the city and therefore the people. It’s not uncommon to see people regularly attending temples or even giving offerings to little idols like they have in their cars in hopes to keep them safe. It’s an honor we are able to plant seeds and share the knowledge and truth that comes with knowing Jesus!! To encourage people who already believe and to share with people who have never heard the Lord LOVES THEM!

THANK YOU LORD for all the ways you have used me and worked IN me recently!!! I have had an overflowing amount of joy while being here and have loved the time with my team. Soon we are going to the mountains to hike to a village for our last week here before going to Swazi!
